Rental deposits

How rental deposits and refunds works.

When you rent a car on GoMore, a deposit may be charged along with your booking to secure payment for potential additional costs, such as fines, excess, etc. If a deposit is required, the amount will be displayed when you book the car. The deposit is charged when the booking is accepted.

The deposit, minus any additional costs from the rental, will automatically be refunded to the renter's payment card 4 days after the rental period ends. Please note that your bank may take additional processing time before displaying the released deposit in your bank account. If the additional costs exceed the deposit, we will retain the deposit and charge the extra payment to the renter's payment card. In the event of a cancellation, the deposit is released immediately. You can find the release date of your deposit on your rental overview in the app or on our website.

  1. Go to our front page.
  2. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
  3. Click on “Rentals”.
  4. Click on the rental in question.

The size of the deposit may vary depending on the type of car, the length of the booking, the renter's age, and the details of a booking. You will always be able to see the deposit amount clearly when you make a booking and before you accept the payment.
