Kilometers and car rental

How kilometers work when you rent a car on GoMore.

When you rent a car on GoMore, a fixed number of free kilometers is always included in the rental, depending on the length of the rental. These included kilometers cover the wear and tear on the owner's car during the rental period and do not include fuel, which the renter pays for separately.

If the renter receives a discount for consecutive days of rental, the included number of kilometers will be reduced proportionally to the discount given per day. The included number of kilometers is always stated in your booking before you approve it and the payment. Extra kilometers can be purchased when booking the car.

When you, as a renter, enter into a rental agreement with an owner, the owner simultaneously reserves the car for you during the period you want to rent it and agrees that you may drive the specified number of included and any additional purchased kilometers. At the same time, the owner accepts the rental income they will receive when the rental period ends. Therefore, as a renter, you will not be refunded for any unused kilometers.

It is essential to finalize the rental period before booking and estimate how many kilometers you will need during the rental period, for example, by entering your trip or trips into Google Maps.

If, as a renter, you realise that you need more kilometers after a booking is approved, you can purchase additional kilometers using the edit rental function

If more kilometers are driven than the included and any additional kilometers purchased, the renter will be charged a price per exceeded kilometer, which is 50% higher than the normal kilometer price. The price is automatically calculated by our app based on the number of kilometers the car has driven at the start and end of a rental, and charged on the renter’s payment card.
