Rules and policies for late rental returns
The renter is responsible for returning the rental car on time or extending the rental if necessary. Please remember that the owner might need the car themselves, or there could be another renter scheduled to pick up the car right after your rental.
Once a rental has started, the renter can extend the rental period by:
- Log into your profile
- Click on your profile pictures in the top right corner
- Click on “rentals”
- Click on the rental you want to extend
- Scroll down and click on “extend rental”
It's not possible for the owner to extend a rental agreement, and you cannot extend a rental that has not yet started. If you want to modify a rental before its start, please read more here.
When the renter has extended a rental, the owner automatically receives a request for extension, which the owner can either accept or decline. An extension is valid only when the owner has accepted it. If the extension is not accepted, the renter must return the car no later than the original booking end time.
If an extension is not accepted and the renter returns the car late, the renter will be charged a fee for the late return of the car.

The fee is calculated from the minute the rental contract's end time begins, and GoMore's normal rental fee applies to both the renter and the owner. Any additional rental income due to a delay is transferred to the owner once GoMore has received the payment from the renter.
The renter or the owner must contact GoMore within 24 hours after a rental period if they believe a fee has been charged in error.
If a car is returned late and the owner cannot reach the renter, the owner must contact GoMore support immediately.
